evaluator_trace.php?

Hi – I’ve just moved host and they instantly flagged this file as a potential threat as it appeared in the writable /tmp directory.

I know its something to do with when a comment is left – what does it do and is it a liability?

And what answer should I give them?

Re: evaluator_trace.php?

I don’t think that file is part of the textpattern source

Re: evaluator_trace.php?

I think it is created by Textpattern though

Hold on – maybe I should upgrade – this might get rid of it, that’s an old topic

Each comment is inspected for possible spam by the “comment evaluator” component which leaves a log of its weighings in evaluator_trace.php. This file is neither a potential threat nor part of the Textpattern source, but created on the fly.

You can safely delete it any time, but it will reappear as the next comment arrives.
