Possible to use IF condition to display Excerpt or Body of an article?

I.e To have a link that allows a person to pick if he wants to view the articles’ Body or just Excerpt. It is exclusive.

I’m trying to do this for an personal ink blog project, where I plan to have content placed on the article body and the images (written ink entry) placed in the article excerpt. If I click a button, I can toggle between viewing just the body or the excerpt of the article, exclusively.

Are my thoughts right, or if there is an alternative method, do let me know, please.

I’ve managed to do it using the adi_gps plugin.
