Change the "Thank you for adding your comment" message

Hi,

I can´t seem to find where the “Thank you for adding your comment” message comes from when one submits a comment? I´m trying to change the wording a little, but I have looked high and low to find it :-)

Anyone know if this is possible?

Regards,
Marius Bastiansen

I’m not sure if this is the proper way to do it, but I changed mine by editing the comment_posted entry in the txp_lang table of the database.

Thanks!

I was hoping to not digg through the back-end stuff, but will have a look…

Would love to hear if anyone have anything else to add

Re: Change the "Thank you for adding your comment" message

I think Iris’ suggestion is the only way to do it at the moment. The thank you message is not part of any form template. Maybe it should be. Give us a bit more flexibility.

Thanks guys for the input!
It would´ve been great if it was part of a form.

I’ve asked the question. Let’s see what happens. ;)

Very much liked the proposed functionality for this kind of thing!

Re: Change the "Thank you for adding your comment" message

I came across this thread as I’ve been searching for an answer to the same question.

I followed up on that thread but to repeat again here: while I can change the text, how can I stylize it? e.g.: make a submit-success message box. In other words, where do I insert the containing <div> for the post-submit message in what form/page?

Thanks!

Re: Change the "Thank you for adding your comment" message

I dug in the DB. But nowhere in the txp_lang table did I find comment_posted or the comment_moderated as suggested in the other thread…

any thoughts any one?

In my txp_lang table it’s id 597 and 598.
