Order of tabs
Would it be much trouble to alter the order of tabs in the Content part of txp admin? It would be more logical if they were in this order:
Write (because it’s the first thing you see)
Articles
Comments (because the above 3 go together)
Categories
Images
Files
Links (because the above 4 go together)

Re: Order of tabs
It’d be backwards-incompatible for those who’ve memorized the tab positions, but not the actual text :P.

For the content tab I’ve thought similar yet.
Then we have the admin tab, that always opens on the users sub-tab, which is fine once the site is delivered to the client. But as long as the designer-admin works on it, the first sub-tab should be plugins.
I think most of us have to use the forms tab way oftener than the pages tab. Further on: How is the order on the extensions tab assigned? It’s not actually clearly arranged, but then again they’re always in the same succession. There must be a system underneath, I think. Which brings me to my proposal:
Is it possible to assign numbers to all the tabs, like the coming loading order assignments for plugins, so that we can order the tabs according to our workflows and needs? That way everybody who’d be confused by a new order of tabs would have his used set, and those who like it different could re-order it to their likings.
In bad weather I never leave home without wet_plugout, smd_where_used and adi_form_links

That’s a very personal matter and I’m with jm in this: don’t underestimate motor memory.
What I recommend is to open all needed tabs in the order you prefer as separate browser tabs in Firefox and then select Bookmark All Tabs. Then you can call them up via Open All in Tabs at any time.
Users concerned with adding content could for instance have a set of Write, Images and Categories that they can just pop up with one click and switch between easily – works great in my experience.
