How can I configure every link to be relative instead of absolute?

My home computer is my server, and it’s configured in a way that typing www.mydomain.com will actually point me to my router. So in order to view my domains, I have to type http://localhost/, otherwise I’ll get a 404 page, while the rest of the word is able to type http://mydomain/ and view my sites just fine. In the case of textpattern, it appears that all of the links are configured as absolute as opposed to relative (ex: “http://mydomain/about/index.php” instead of “about/index.php”). This either results in me not being able to view my site (if I enter “http://mydomain.com” as the site URL under admin > preferences) or the world not being able to view my site (if I enter my site URL as blank, which will cause the world to get “http://localhost/…” every time they click on one my links. It’s a very annoying problem. Is there a way to configure all of my links to be relative?
