"static pages", categories for gallery - can't get my head around it
Hello,
I’ve tried to get my head around this the whole evening, but just can’t get it.
I’ve got two menus, one for the static pages like: about, services, contact etc. And one for the categories where i want to be able to put my different photos in, like natur, animals etc.
But i’m not sure how to do it, should i put the static pages in links, but how do i add text to them then? well I’m a bit confused.
I hope anyone is able to help me or get me back on track.
thanks in advance

You don’t give a hint on “how static” you need “static” to be ;) So let’s try the simplest solution first: have you thought of deploying sections and section_list for your static content, and category_list for displaying a list of your categories? If that’s not what you want, there’s more info on creating static pages on this FAQ page

Thanks for your quick answer uli.
I solved some of it, i’ve got the static pages managed now, but it is not possible to use the category_list, since they’re going under the sections, which mess up the static pages.
Maybe there is a plugin for this? since i need it for a gallery

I’m not sure what you mean exactly, but you can use the section
attribute in category_list to display the category lists on their own section page.
For plugins, you can have a look here:
