Alter permissions
Hello,
I love the simplicity of the staff writer administration for clients to use but since most the time I am creating the articles they are unable to do this. is there anyway to have exactly the same as the current staff writer permissions but they also have the ability to edit any article?
thanks
dave.

Re: Alter permissions
There’s also a tame_privs very basic plugin if you don’t want to alter core files.

Re: Alter permissions
Also if you don’t want to hack the core, you can simply change the article’s author once you’ve published it.

Thanks Zanza for the suggestion,
don’t know why I never considered this plugin (though the name is quite self-explanatory) and kept modifiyng admin_config.php manually.

It surprised me how easy this plugin is. Sure, you have to customize the code (no interface), but that is far better than customizing the core! :) I discovered it by chance, it’s quite neglected. Happy if it’s useful.
