Image upload with TXP in different folders

Hi,
I’m using a plugin for lightbox, an7_img.
the imgdir give the possibility to read and publish an entire folder automatically. so I have to create different folders; for each category of the gallery:
lake
mountain
snow
.
.
.

but I must upload the photos with ftp, because through TXP is it possible to upload only in the “images” folder (or only one folder). My question: is it possible with a plugin o workaround, that at the moment of the upload I can choose the folder to upload the photos to? I know I could change the folder when before uploading, but is not very user friendly…

I also need such a Plugin, a large number of pictures in a folder is too cumbersome.

Have you already explored the possibilities available through image categories?

Pretty much all the gallery plugins I’ve tried allow you to build a gallery of images from one or more specific categories, so there is no need for the images to be physically located in different directories.

Take a look at smd_gallery

Or is there another reason you need them in separate directories?
