Quick way to save all page templates and forms with original fomatting
While I’ve been using Txp now for about two years, I’m still intimidated when editing page templates or forms.
Many times I wished, that there was an easy, one-click way to backup all of a site’s page templates and forms as separate text files to a local folder, named as in the admin backend and with all the original formatting as they display in the backend, so one could quickly undo the changes.
I’ve tried all the export options in phpMyAdmin, but they all result in reformatting, for instance replacing line breaks with spaces etc. Creating text clippings from page- or form fileds on a Mac by dragging works, but is very tedious for more complex sites, as is creating duplicates through the Txp backend.
I’d sure be able to work my way through a MySQL backup in an emergency, but I really wish there was a more accessible approach.
This might well be better tackled by a plugin, but then again I’m not a programmer. If anyone has found an easier solution, I’d love to hear about it. :-)
Cheers Martin
