Nice that there is </txp:section> tags rendered to browser in the source code ;) It can mess everything up in stricter browsers. It looks clean and really blue.

Re: nearly finished this dang site

Actually, the validation errors are pretty easy to clear up – aisde from correcting what Jukka mentioned, some are just typo’s, things like missing "-signs or closing the <img-tag with /> are quicky tracked down and eradicated. If you have HTMLtidy in firefox (tidy for safari), you can find and correct them quickly. For the embed warnings, if you use swfobject to embed the flash (looks complex at first glance but is actually quite straightforward) you’ll get rid of those too and also avoid the ‘eolas’ click-to-make-it-show problem in IE.

I thought at first the buttons along the top didn’t work, but actually it’s because only the text itself is linked. If you attach the background image to the a-link element rather than the li, make the height and width of the a-elements as large as the image and use padding to position the text where you want it, then they will function as buttons in their entirety. By attaching another image to the a:hover property (or making a two-part ‘sprite’ image and shifting background-position) you can create a visual response for the button-rollover.

Re: nearly finished this dang site

ok fixed the section closing tags, thanks i didnt notice that.
Acutally yes jakob the swfobject was the reason i was afraid to try and validate it but now im more familiar with it and have it validating on another site using the static method. BUT im not embeding video on that site. Ill run it through tidy .
thanks especially for the tips on the top nav bar.

thanks jakob and gocom,
