Footnotes link back to main page

Hello!

I originally posted this in another subforum, but I think I might need some dev help here.

I’ve encountered a strange issue, which I can’t resolve myself. When I generate footnotes with Textile the link looks like this: <a href="#footnotelink">1</a>. This works fine when you view it on the front page. However, if you view it an an individual article page and click on the link you’re taken to the footnote on the front page instead.

For instance, a footnote on the page http://hertze.com/2008/04/title links to http://hertze.com/#footnote, i.e. it gets pointed back towards the main domain.

Do you have any idea why this is? I’ve tried disabling relevant plugins, but to no avail.

The original thread is posted here

Re: Footnotes link back to main page

It’s caused by this HTML tag in your template:

<base href="http://hertze.com/" />

Ah! Of course! I really can’t thank you enough — it would have taken me weeks to see that.
