Keeping it Simple... Article layout/presentation
I’m been using TXP for a few months now… and I finally built up enough never to create my own layout style… However I keep hitting my head on getting an articles to display properties set how I want it… for instance my home page I don’t want to the article title to link to the article, I want something else to do that. I also don’t want the authors name appended after each posting nor do I want the div bar between each posting/article.
I’m starting to become afraid that with all the power TXP has it might not be able to support my simple layout & design needs…
Title – date
Article text
permalink
P.S. I looked at Txp:article, Txp:article custom and none seem to fit my need Txp:recent articles or am I overlooking something?

Re: Keeping it Simple... Article layout/presentation
The default article form has the title permlink to your article. If you want to remove the article title link on all your articles, just delete the permlinks in the default form. If you just want to remove the permlink on the home page, go to your default page template, look for the txp:article tag and add form=“mynewdefault” to it. Then create a new form called mynewdefault, base it on your default form but remove the permlink.
I just put a Textpattern first steps tutorial on Textbook that you might help you
