[textile] Textile formatting has stopped working...sort of

Textile formatting has stopped working in certain articles on a site I have developed. The text is formatted correctly using Textitle in some articles but not in others. I have recently upgraded the site to 4.0.6, but I am not convinced that this is the cause.

I have tested this by deleting the article and re-creating it, copying the text into textile.thresholdstate.com (where it looks fine) but nothing I do fixes it.

I have looked through the forum but I cannot find anything similar to my sistuation.

Any help greatly appreciated.

If you open the advanced option for such an article, what does it show on the left side for the ‘article markup’ option?

It shows Use Textile (for Excerpt too).

If you put *bold* and _italic_ in an article and press the preview tab on the right side of the textarea, does that show up correctly?

If I put **bold** in I get bold, but if I put *bold* I don’t ! My client has a lot of articles that already have Textile marked-up text and a lot of this formatting has been lost.

If textile formatting stopped working on articles that have not been changed since the upgrade to 4.0.6, then it is not related to 4.0.6, because only saving the articles would refresh the textile formatting. In that case the cause of the problem has to be somewhere else and without an URL that displays the problem there’s no way to find out.

If this only affects new or changed articles, please post your TXP diagnostics here (select “high”).
