I really like the idea of it. I need to run some tests to see how often its affecting the output. Depending on that and what overhead it imposes, we might have to cache the output somewhere..
I’d be interested to know what you find out about Typogrify’s overhead. I doubt it’s very high in normal usage, but some real-world results would be informative.

Re: NASA Astrobiology
Here’s issue I was talking about regarding IE7. Also there’s an issue with the black nav in the left hand side menu.
Cheers.

Re: NASA Astrobiology
I can confirm the IE7 issues. For me, though, the white hover problem is temporary and resolves about a second after I hover the cursor over a sub-navigation link.

Re: NASA Astrobiology
Thanks everyone for pointing out the IE 7 problems.
We should have that resolved now!!
There are still some HTML validation errors to fix, but I’m told CSS validation isn’t really necessary since you have to exploit what various browers decide to read and ignore and doing that causes CSS errors.
We’re adding login (finally) and integration to a discussion forum today. I hope it goes smoothly…

Re: NASA Astrobiology
@typeshige: I started to write a response to what you said about CSS validation and browser targeting, but it got too long for a forum post. Instead, I posted the tips I was writing about to my blog. Don’t worry, it’s not a rant about code validation. ;-)
Anyway, I hope you find it useful.

Thanks for reporting this. I’ll try to get it resolved. Hopefully, it looks ok otherwise.
Edit: I installed 9.27 on Mac OS X and it looks fine.
Are you on a PC? I’ll try it on Vista later and see what it looks like.
