Donate button?
There used to be a donate button on the main Textpattern site – what happened to it? I usually donate a small amount for each client website I build with TXP.

Yes, and I see there’s now a “donate” link at the top of this forum page as well.

Re: Donate button?
Uhm… yes, but… Is ‘textpatrons’ an understandable label for non-native english people? It’s elegant, but a button would make donation easier… I confess I did not notice the link.
Also, a question: I never donated yet, but I’m going to. On some occasion I’d donate to a single developer. But how could I donate to the team?

Re: Donate button?
Donating to the team would involve donating to all the individual developers.
I agree about ‘textpatrons’ being unrecognizable as a donate link for non-native people. In fact, the first time I tried to find the page, I had to use Google. I’ve changed the link to ‘donate’.

I was under the impression that donations are shared equally among the team members, because in the past there used to be only one individual to send the donation to. So that isn’t the case any longer?

Re: Donate button?
That’s how it used to work. We had only one donate button then.
We now list all team members separately, which gives more flexibility when donating, but is more work if you want to give equal shares to all devs.
I’m not sure what the reason for this change was.

I can’t accept money on behalf of other people anymore, that’s why.

Re: Donate button?
OK, I see. I just feel the old fashioned method was more in line with the “spirit” of Txp :-)
