MAybe someone should write something in “Announcement” under “Textpattern v.4.0.6 available now!” that there’s a problem as I see many questions about the problems today.

Or someone could restart Apache / check modRewrite or turn Textpattern’s permlink mode to messy.

It’s just a corrupted .htaccess file

Re: Can't do anything on textpattern.com

It’s not/wasn’t corrupted.

When the Txp sites went down I got a slew of “Did you know the site is down?” emails and instant messages. So, I temporarily redirected all requests to a static HTML file while I figured out what the problem was. Once everything was fixed I forgot to uncomment the lines that make the Txp clean URLS work, and got a slew of emails about the Txp clean URLs not working. :D
