Keywords Character Limit?

Is there a character limit to the keywords field in TXP? I’m using it primarily to generate meta keywords for the article or page, however, it seems to cut off text I enter that goes beyond a certain number of characters (looks like 250 or 260).

I searched all over the forums and couldn’t find an answer to this.

If there is a character limit – how do I get rid of it?

the limit is 255 due to the type of field it is in the db. you can change that if you really wanted to (via phpmyadmin and change the type of field) but i fail to see the point of having over 255 keywords for an article. seems unlikely you have that many words to focus on in a single article or page. that kinda defeats the purpose of key words.
