Some interesting projects...
Hi Folks,
In case you don’t know it, here is two projects you could see :
- PrestaShop : a [young but very active] French e-commerce solution more simple than Magento but very promishing!
- ProjectPier : an ActiveCollab’s fork with all its bugs corrected. (New ActiveCollab version 1 is very beautiful, but very expensive too.)
- Textpattern 4.0.6 : the most flexible CMS in the world barbecued by very professionnals devs and animated by a very cool community ;)

Both have nice sites. But for me, russian user, they are not very attractive: there is no info about translation…

i’ve tested out projectpier when activecollab turned from “hey guys stop paying for basecamp! its really easy to create a free project management tool!” into yet another pay service.
prestashop sounds interesting though! i’ve looked at magento for a while but from my experiences following their releases, i’m pretty much over their hype. the system requirements are stiff and it runs slow as hell.

Victor, I think Prestashop need some translators. You could offer your help to translate it into Russian. Dev team could be very interesting. Write a post into the English forum to know how to process.
