[request] Only list articles/images/files from the currently logged in author
Would someone revive the idea that was executed here with a hack and consider building a plugin for it? If an author only sees his own articles/images/files it would radically streamline the workflow on content- and author-rich websites. To me, this concept has great potential and would make Textpattern much more appealing for large websites.

I agree, a plug-in would be easier to use than a hack but I’m afraid I’ve no idea how to go about implementing it.
Personally, I think this should go into the core but assigned to a new user-type, e.g. “community-contributor” or whatever. It already works effectively as a hack and requires only a few changes to the source. By assigning it to a new user-type it would not affect existing behaviour at all (which was the argument against its inclusion at the time).

not exactly, no. while it’s certainly nice to have filtering options, i’m looking for a way to restrict the display of content (articles/images/files) on a per author-basis.
EDIT: on a second tought, if you could pass the currently logged in author to the author pulldown the problem would be solved, no? at least on the article tab. (a busy image tab is even harder to manage…)
