travel agency
Hello to you all.
I’m new here, and need an objective advice regarding this textpattern. Would this cms of yours be a reasonable choice for developing an online travel agency web site, specifically regarding online booking?
I developed a static web site and need a backend app for managing it, so please, for those of you that have experience with textpattern, is this a wise choice, or should I search elsewhere?
Consider tat I have no experience in these things so finding out for myself among a dozen cms systems is really not an option at this stage.
So I thank you in advance for taking the time in writing a few lines of text to help me out here.
Best regards.

hi libero and welcome to txp
…specifically regarding online booking…
Do you plan to make actual bookings through the website? That is checking for availability and then credit card clearance?

Re: travel agency
Yes, the user wil have to fill in a inquiry (which I suppose could be actually a contact form), but the actual payment and credit card clearence will have to go online, among other types of payment – bank transfer, off line by credit card, check and so forth. Searching the forums I read a post by a user, ‘hilary’ I believe, who used the comments system of textpattern as an inquiry form, suits the purpose, but is a hack essentilly. I am wonderig if something similar could be done to modify the search engine (a plugin perhaps) which is essentially very (too much) simplified lacking of some crucial options.
