Help with the choices for Article status

Okay, all, here’s a really basic question, I’m sure, but I can’t find anywhere an explanation of the different article status: Draft, Hidden, Pending, Live, Sticky.
I’d really appreciate an overview of each of these, and your ideas on what each is good for / best used for?

Thanks very much for the quick response!
After much time spent looking at Textbook, I’d never managed to find the part of it with all the instructions for the software’s actual use. It’s not clearly labeled as such.

You are right, for newcomers it is not always obvious where to look. So whenever you are looking for something and can’t find it, don’t hesitate to ask, most of it is actually there :) And if it’s not, you will always find help on the forums.
