Pass variable to <txp:output_form form="foo" />

Hi,

I just found an old post (2005) that said one should declare a variable as a global, and call it as a global, in order to use/pass it between pages/forms/tags…

I have tried this, from a Page to a misc Output Form, and it works pretty good… But is this an optimal approach in 2007? If not, what would be the best and most secure approach to passing variables into forms?
