TXP Site with Shopping Cart

This is my first post on the forum here, but I’ve been deep into textpattern for six months now. Check out www.familymanweb.com to see my first TXP site. I’d love to hear some feedback from the great community here. Be sure to check out the integration with e-junkie’s shopping cart in the books and products page.

Looking forward to your thoughts

Drew

Re: TXP Site with Shopping Cart

  1. Looks like your sites status is changed to testing. You should change it to Live.
  2. You could put the long-long javascipt code to inside JS file and call it from there.
  3. Site contains unclosed tags and dublicated IDs, so it doesn’t validate.

The look of the site is quite simple and clean. It looks kinda nice, but I find it little too tablish – it looks like it’s made with tables at back to the 90s. But it’s great, keep it up. Good work :)

Cheers!

Re: TXP Site with Shopping Cart

i’m sure you know, but you can use css to restyle e-junkies shopping cart popup (for example you can replace the generic “shopping cart” logo/header that shows up in the shopping cart thickbox popup with your own header/image).

Re: TXP Site with Shopping Cart

Thanks for the help/advice. I should say that I did this site extremely cheap because I know the guy… and at the time I had higher paying clients (who’s sites do validate ha) – so there are bugs for sure… but thanks for bringing them into the light. I will try to fix them this weekend.

About my site being on testing mode – for some reason I got a nasty php error when I put the site on live? It started when I moved the site over to a new host and tried linking a fresh textpattern install to an existing database.

iblastoff – thanks for reminding me about restyling the e-junkie cart popup – i will definately do that. I’ll repost when I’ve done it.
