Duplicating site
I should make a copy of existing site, and make little presentational changes to it. They don’t have to be in sync after I make the copy. Especially as I recently read thread it’s not easy to share articles and other things between installations. But I’d like not to duplicate imported images, which are comsuming very much server space. Isn’t that so that I can simply just use the original site’s image folder, writing it’s url to site preferences?
How about plugins; when I import the original sites database to new installation, they are coming with it, without need to re-install, right?

Re: Duplicating site
if you export via database then yes the plugins will be included. you can either use something like phpmyadmin or textpattern plugin rss_admin_db_manager
alternatively, if you only want to save/import/export your pages/forms/styles as files, you can use hcg_templates (this method will not carry your plugins over though)
