Firefox and a transparency problem (mac)

Hi,
Anyone using firefox on MAC if the check my new textpattern website (www.mlarino.com/web2), Clic on WORK, it will slide down letting you see my portfolio, then Clic on a name on the left side to see a piece, there is an Iframe that shows a bunch of images that you have to scroll.
The problem comes when you hit WORK again to close the portfolio.
The scrolling bar will keep showing over the rest of the website instead of hiding like the rest of the content.
This only happens on MACs because I have tried it in IE FF and Safari on PC and it works perfect.
Does someone know what the problem here is?
Thanks!

Yes, the issue is just in Firefox for Mac.
If you could try I would really apreciate it.

i don’t want to sound like a total asshat or something but you might want to make sure the page validates before we start tracking down that rendering bug. the site shows 41 validation errors, maybe correcting these also solves the issue in FF mac…

Re: Firefox and a transparency problem (mac)

Hi again,
OK I validated all the issues on my website, the only ones left are the ones that show up because I am using an Iframe…
Does someone using firefox in a Mac understand why this transparency problem I described before is happening?
Thanks

Re: Firefox and a transparency problem (mac)

I see what you mean. Dunno why this is but I have had similar problems with FF Mac when I’ve got a JS dropdown menu which overlays a Flash object. You can see an example of the problem. Rather than overlay as it should and does in other browsers/platforms, the menu pushes the flash object out of the way. Odd, but I can find nothing which explains why this happens, and it seems like a related FF bug which is affecting your site.

Sorry, I realise that doesn’t help you much, but one thing which might do is if you avoid using the iframe and have a scrolling div instead. Worth a shot I reckon.

Re: Firefox and a transparency problem (mac)

Check this out as an example

As before, no guarantee that it will solve the FF problem, but may also be a lot easier for you to manage the site using this method since everything can be in TXP, and you won’t need to produce the static html pages anymore.

Hope it helps you out.
