Newer/Older links on author page don't work
Well I have a site with a few contributors and around 500 articles. Everything is running well except author pages. Let me explain the problem:
When you click on author name, a page opens which lists summary of articles written by the author. If the number of articles written by the author increases beyond accepted number of articles on a page, we see a link saying ‘Older’. This link shows older articles. Things go wrong when the author’s name has two parts e.g. David John. In this scenario author link is like http://www.example.com/author/David+John/. But the ‘Older’ link’s url reads http://www.example.com/author/David/?pg=2. I mean <txp:older /> tag drops second part of author in url. This way only articles on page 1 are accessible. When someone clicks the truncated link, he ends up on a 404 page.
I am an absolute newbie to TextPattern. Would somebody please help?

Is David John’s login name “David” by any chance? Are other author’s truncated too (examples with login and full name please)?

Yes, absolutely. This behavior is same for all those users who have two-part name. And yes, their login names are of one word only. Example David John’s login name is David. ‘Mark Clinton’ has login name as Mark and so on. Could you diagnose the problem?
Thanks for your time JM.

Are you still running v.4.0.5? Because this was a bug that was supposed to have been fixed.
