Importing from Nucleus
I am strongly considering making the move from Nucleus to Textpattern. I am a web designer by trade so programming is not my cup of tea. (Willing to learn though ;) )
I did a search and could not find the answer to what is on my mind most… imposting my posts & comments data into Textpattern. I noticed there are importing features within the core of Textpattern for a handfull of other software. But after doing a search, did not see anything for Nucleus. Is there an easy way to do this?
Thank you in advance!

Re: Importing from Nucleus
Hi:
I recently did this. I moved from nucleus to textpattern. This nucleus to movable type script did it for me.
There are no step-by-step instructions that I could find, but this is what I did:- copy the code, open notepad, paste the code, and then save as import.php
- change the code in the import.php file so it could access your nucleus mysql database.
- upload import.php to the same directory as your nucleus index.php.
- run the import.php
- you should now see all your nucleus entries on the screen
- this is where it took me so long to figure out…view the source of the web page and save that page source as a text file. If you simply save the web page using “save as…” it will not work.
- the text file that you just saved is in movable type format so it’s just a matter of importing this txt file using the MT file import in textpattern.
- make sure you import as draft as you have to do a bit of cleaning up, but at least all your posts and comments are intact.
Hope this works for you.
