Fontanel.nl

Hi guys,

Fontanel.nl got a new design and it’s basically done. We just need to tackle a few minor css-bugs in IE.
It’s an online dutch art & design mag and although just launched, we’re getting more and more exlusive interviews etc.
Pretty neat for a hobby, huh? ;)

Specs:
TXP 4.0.5 & a lot of plugins, and quite a lot customfields too ;). Plugins include:
aam_typogrify
chh_related_articles
tru_tags
glx_gravatar
glx_admin_image
sed_comment_pack
zem_prblock

Re: Fontanel.nl

It looks a quite great, a really nice. Some colors won’t be bad, but the black and white somehow manage to work together.

But what becomes to the code. There is a lot of bugs and faults as the validator will show you. Like unclosed tags, block elements with-in non-block, inline-elements and so-on. And the code is quite heavy, which makes the page render quite heavily.

And in the CSS, using y-axel-repeated & centered background at the body, isn’t so smart, because many browsers handle the body differently, so the background will show up in different places with different browsers and resolutions as well. Using container-div will fix the issue.

Archieve page is quite messy as well. Little space between titles wouldn’t be bad.

Keep it up, it’s good work!

Cheers!
