error_default removed from Textpattern 4.0.5 (r2466)?

Having been using Textpattern for a while, a few months ago I installed 4.0.4 found the default installation comes with a page called error_default. This is however missing from my recently installed default installation of 4.0.5 (r2466). My question here is has the default error handling been removed from 4.0.5 and I will have to look for a plugin/hack to handle my 404 errors or is the functionality still within the default install code? If so what is the best way to go about adding a custom 404 page now? Or maybe I am missing something. I have not been able to find any mention of this pages removal from any of the change logs.

error_default is definitely still in all of my txp 4.0.5 installations.

not sure why yours is missing but you could probably just create one on your own. here’s the default error_default page in case you need it.

to further customize your error pages, you could also create specific pages like error_404, error_403 etc etc or use conditional tags like <txp:if_status status="404"> within your error_default page.

maybe someone else can chime in as to why yours is missing in the first place though.

Thanks for the reply. I will create replacement pages manually and check that works. It would be interesting to know if anyone else has come across this problem or I guess it was just an error during installation that missed the file for some unknown reason. Good to know that it should be there. Thanks.
