Ethical bag loyalty scheme

This is phase one of Bags of Change. It’s a loyalty scheme which uses a bag rather than a reward card. Shoppers buy the bag from the site (or participating stores) and then get discounts every time they use the bag at a ‘Bags of Change’ shop. Participating shops are listed on the site.

After building a couple of sites in Joomla, I can tell you it was an absolute pleasure to use Textpattern again. Joomla has “big” components (like ecommerce, mailing lists, user management), but it always feels like trying to make a site with one arm tied behind your back.

Plugins used on Bags of Change include ako_social, asv_breadcrumb, chh_if_data, hak_article_image, Postmaster, stw_category_tree, zem_contact_reborn and the excellent rss_admin_db_manager.

Comments, criticisms most welcome.

Re: Ethical bag loyalty scheme

It looks good, really good, and simple. Nice job. :-)

A list of comments and other:

  1. Site contains two <h1>-tags. Only one Main heading is allowed by page.
  2. Heading <h3> are used for section’s headings and <h2> for article’s headings. Should it be turned to otherside. Section’s heading is first.
  3. I don’t like the font Georgia, but it’s my opinion. And everyone has their own. Trebuchet MS would be nicer in my opinion.
  4. Links should have _hover_-effect – it makes navigation simpler
