Comment preview with long articles

Hi,

On my weblog i use to publish very long articles; i have a main page with the 10 lastest articles’ abstracts.

So when a visitor click on the title of an article, he can read/comment it.

Problem is : the ‘comment form’ is at the bottom of every article; well, that’s fine. But when the visitor click on the ‘Preview’ button or even on the ‘Publish’ button in the ‘comment form’ (i have set the ‘asy_captcha’ plugin), he is not redirected to the ‘comment form’, but to the beginning of the article.

So many visitors think or they succeeded and do not finish the publication process, or get fed up and finally give up.

Is there a way to prevent this “jump” to the beginning of the article when the visitor click ‘Preview’ or ‘Publish’ in the ‘comment form’ ?

Thank you,

Stéphane.

Re: Comment preview with long articles

Make sure you have the “comment” anchor link somewhere in your “comments_display” form. You can see it here, in the id attribute of the h3 heading tag.

Re: Comment preview with long articles

Thank you Mary; i successfully debugged the module by comparing it with the default code as you suggested.

I have another question in the continuity of this first one; when a visitor click on ‘Preview’, he gets on the screen a “normal” view of the comment even if it is still not validated.

Is there a way to create a ‘comment_preview’ module so it could print a specific preview of the comment (in red for instance) different from the ‘comments’ module used for the definitive comments ?
