article list

I want to create an article list that is separated over many divs, is there a way to say display articles 1-9, 9-18, 18-12… ect.

I am trying to use, <txp:article_custom allowoverride=“1” form=“imwork” limit=“9” pgonly=“0” section=“ingo” sort=“Posted asc” status=“4” />

any help would be appreciated.
