Problem with Index Page

I’m brand new to this, so this could be an easy fix:
When I go to my site @ http://students.washington.edu/tfrazier/ I get the error “Not Found
The requested resource does not exist on this server.” I used to use this path when I had an index.htm file up and it worked fine.

But if I go to my site @ http://students.washington.edu/tfrazier/index.php I get my page like I want.

Is there a way to eliminate the first error message? I don’t know why this is an issue since the file is named index.php

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Problem with Index Page

I don’t wanna start a new topic for this, cause I got the same problem, but have read the FAQ and contacted my provider.
The answer: DirectoryIndex is not supported.

So, is there a chance to change the internal links manually?
Like… when I try to get to see the page with “view page” on the admin panel… it leads me to the 404.
And the same by just clicking the “site name” link

I tried changing links in the admin panel etc but didn’t work.
Well, my php knowledge is rudimental but I guess there are possibilities, aint there?

btw: the page I’m talking about is this: http://weblog.charlynoa.de/index.php

feel free to leave nasty comments ;)

Thanks a lot!

PS: I’m sorry when it’s inappropriate I posted in this topic, just noticed it’s in the archive section.
@ admins/mods: If you want to split my post from the topic, move the whole thing to another category or whatever… please feel free to do so.
