Mirroring local TXP site to remote server

I am developing my site locally, but need to know, how can I upload/mirror my local TXP site to the host server? Does it require a re-install on the remote server, or I can just upload the existing directory structure straightaway?

I am not technically sound, so would appreciate any advice here.

Thanks to all!

Re: Mirroring local TXP site to remote server

You’ll have to copy both the directory structure (+files) and the database tables.
Since the server is typically set up a bit different from your local situation, the contents of /textpatern/config.php will be different, so you may have to modify those to fit in the server setup (especially file locations and the values for username/password/database name)

Here is an article: Moving a Live Textpattern Site to a Local Server. At the bottom you’ll find instructions for doing it the other way around.
