[deprecated] rah_commentquoting_js

This plugin has been deprecated, and is nolonger supported. You can do the same stuff without a plugin by using small JavaScript snippet offering same functionality. There is no need for this type of plugin that only acts as a dummy and limited JavaScript wrapper.

It would be very nice if you put a demo link here, just in order to see what this comment looks like.

Thanks.

Re: [deprecated] rah_commentquoting_js

Well, I have a one personal site under developing & design, which will be using this plugin. Actually that site contains all about my plugins, and will use all of them. It would be launched in coming days or weeks. After that, no use :-)

Cheers!

Cheers!

Re: [deprecated] rah_commentquoting_js

New version 0.2 up.

Changelog:

  • Moved individual Javascript-files directly to the PHP-script: no more need to upload js files.
  • Renamed tag <txp:rah_commentquoting_js />-tag to <txp:rah_commentquoting_link />.
  • Improved speed and code generally.
  • Fixed globals.

Re: [deprecated] rah_commentquoting_js

Hi Gocom,

I have to mark the text, which I want to quote and then I have to click the Quote-Link?!

I think its easier (for my users) if I klick the Quote-Link and the whole text is marked? Then I could edit the text …

Re: [deprecated] rah_commentquoting_js

Hi Jukka. Do you have a sample of how this quoting looks in action?

Ok. I don’t know MiniBB – you have a link from their site that shows the effect?

Well there isn’t any kind of efect. Just highlight some text, press quote link and the text is inserted to the comment message textare in format:

*Commentator wrote:*
bq. Highlighted and selected text here.

No page load required. Possibly the fastes way to see the “demo” is just to install the plugin and test :)

Thanks.

here is your Demo http://blogzicke.de/blog/37/portable-usbwebserver-mit-textpattern

@Gocom:
“Make sure that “Allow more Textile markup in comments?”-option is turned on in Textpattern Advanced Preferences. Located: TXP / Admin / Preferences / Advanced”

On http://blogzicke.de/, this option is turned OFF, but it seems to work!
