Need some help with xHTML Template

Hey!
First I decided to use Textpattern because I heard of the great support. Great Job!
I hope you can help in my case, too:
I’m a complete Newbie to the Textpattern CMS, before only worked with Joomla….
But for my next Project, the Page for a Political Party i need a simple CMS with it’s focus on Text ;)^^
Ok, I found a real nice xHTML Template at opensourcetemplates.org it’s called “nautica” and can be downloaded for free.
But I have no clou how to make a working textpattern template out of it, maybe someone can give me an idea of how the SourceCode has to look like?

Thank You very much!

Greetings
Wenzel

Re: Need some help with xHTML Template

its not TOO far from how joomla and any other cms works. you have sections/categories to play with and etc. you’d obviously keep all the design/presentation elements from the template and then ‘include’ all of the dynamic information into the right areas via textpattern tags. i’d recommend going to textplates.com / textgarden.org and checking out some templates there as they should all have included instructions as to how to properly set them up. from there you can see how its done in textpattern.
