Slow load time
Before you get your inner copy’n‘paster fired up: I’ve read the FAQ on load times and none of it applies to me, my problem lies on my main page and sometimes on the comment pages. It happens most frequently on my main installation, it happens very rarely on any installations I have in subfolders or on subdomains. I run my entire site out of Textpattern and only experienced load issues on my subpages when my webserver slowed down due to a rather large increase in traffic. The problem I’m having is that the page takes about 10 seconds to load and when it finally does it’s sans styling, a refresh or three will usually get back the styling, however.
What in the world could this be? I’ve optimized everything, applied different themes and still no solution. When I applied the default theme I noticed that it got better, when I applied the theme “Clean and Green”, however, it went right back to its old ways. Right now it’s loading quite well (my runtime figures are lower than they’ve ever been before) and it all seems to be loading quite nicely, I haven’t seen that in a while but I know from previous experience it won’t last for long.
My templates aren’t particularly complex and the subpages run off of a nearly identical template. The backend loads perfectly and I’ve enabled and disabled all of my plugins to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Please post a tagtrace (and URL) of a page that always has slow load times and a list of active plugins might help as well.
