Re: [contrib] Any one interested in helping make some video tutorials?
I’m somewhat interested in “hover mouse over different” introductions though. They’re quite fast to do and they might be easy to translate. But videos are cool too.
Anything to make that inital hump lower for new users.
Maybe we (am I now in this O.o) need some brainstorming about this? Tiddlywikis anyone?

Re: [contrib] Any one interested in helping make some video tutorials?
Anyone using a Mac can use the awesome iShowU which is only $20! You can export it in iMovie (h264 format for that ultra small file size and razor quality). If anyone wants to know how to do this just ask, i’ve had a go already and got great results (had a bit of trouble getting the settings right at first).
I’m open to a wiki but I don’t know how far we will get at the moment, guess it would be good to start, but i’ve still got a lot on at the moment. We could use the Textbook or I could set one up on my hosting.

Re: [contrib] Any one interested in helping make some video tutorials?
If no one else has started I am up for it. I use textpattern very often for my clients and I figure I could also use them for customer support. I guess I will start with installation then adding pages. Maybe I will have time next week to start…. but first I need a bigmac and some sleep.

Have a look at Gerhard’s screencast about his new Plugin glz_custom_fields:
(glz_custom_fields_unveiled.mov)
http://gerhardlazu.com/blog/50/glz_custom_fields-unveiled
Even with no sound, this is style and easy to comprehend. It invites to explore&learn.
I’ll drop him a note and ask if he could join this post.

Hello
Such types of Documentation are a nice idea. For myself I have made a small lesson above Mulitilanguage-Support on a PC and Websites (http://downloads.devsup.de/XP-Multilanguage-Support.swf). Therefore I’ve used the viewlett builder (http://www.qarbon.com/).
The file has a size of 1 MB and If I add a voice, it would be more than 5 MB. I have placed some links somewhere and from time to time (let us say 5 times a month) a download has been done. This film has not really initialised an run on my website.
Best regards
Wolfgang

Re: [contrib] Any one interested in helping make some video tutorials?
Hey Fellas,
I know it has been a little while, but I got a couple of video tutorials up. They are mostly for novice users I was testing out the work flow I came up with. Here are the links the first is for Installation the second is for adding content . The next one I was planning on doing was for the presentation tab. But it looks like you guys are looking for more advanced stuff, so I guess I will take requests. The turn around should be a little better as I have convinced my boss to let me spend work time on this. What do you guys think?

Great stuff Stylesheet. You’ve got a good voice for it.
That’s great that you convinced your boss to let you do it.
