[request] regenerate thumbnails
What such a plugin would do, ideally, is (re)generate all image thumbnails, given a height/width/crop constraint. Nothing terribly complicated, just a batch version of Textpattern’s image thumbail functionality. Admin-side only.
There might be an issue with script execution time if there are a lot of images – one option might to be to process the first x
images, render a status update page, then redirect to a page where the next x
images are processed. And so forth. Not sure if that description makes sense; it’s similar to what Invision Power Board does for batch processing, if anyone’s familiar with that.

Yup, that would be a good idea.
Even as a core feature.

The width and height of thumbnails are not stored in the database. So you could do this through FTP and, say, Photoshop.
…Prrrrrrrr…

It’s do-able. I don’t have the time to take it on at just this moment but I will add it to my to-do list if no one else comes along.

Cool, thanks. :)

Well, yeah. I don’t know that that’s relevant, though – you’d input a width and/or height value, and then have the script generate the thumbs accordingly.
