[textile] How to get rid of extra markup in <pre> tags

I’m using Textpattern on a site where I post a lot of code. But every time I have a code block, Textpattern will replace (some) line breaks with br tags. <notextile> doesn’t help either. I could disable textile but I don’t want to have to hand code paragraph tags where they belong.. isn’t there any way to tell textpattern to just leave the stuff I put in pre tags alone?

Thanks

Textile doesn’t (or shouldn’t) use br tags in code blocks. See the manual for details. If you’ve found a bug, check the post at the top of this forum for instructions on how to report it.

Have you tried using: bc.. followed by a space, followed by the block of code (bc = block code)?
