Browsing habits
From my TXP visitor logs, I see behaviour that’s strange to me. I wondered if other people have radically different browsing habits.
1 Often the same page is accessed 10 times in a row by the same IP all in a few seconds. Why?
2 Sometimes the same page is accessed a lot by different IPs and then it looks like they tried to leave a comment but didn’t succeed. I am guessing these are hackers trying to comment spam?
3 Many many cases of the whole site being accessed in a few seconds. Many are robots but I wondered – do any of you use tools to download a whole website and view it offline?

Re: Browsing habits
1 and 3: there are any number of bots, spiders and scripts around. Some are search engines, some are spammers, and some are experiements.
2: yes. usually scripts.

Re: Browsing habits
Yes, it’s very unlikely that anyone would want to browse any of my sites offline but it seems likely that it has something to do with spam or other experiments.
Thanks for keeping them out!
