Laurel's Long Walk
My sister is walking the pacific coast trail.
I threw this unique section together for her this weekend.
Simple. Laurel’s Long Walk
The base site is the Books to Prisoners Site she runs, also a quick one, but fun :

Re: Laurel's Long Walk
Two nice sites! Just the placement of the skip links looks odd.

Zero,
Do you mean the pagination link?
Can you give me more to work with than odd?
I’m curious what you feel is off. Thanks.

Re: Laurel's Long Walk
I just checked with Firefox and IE and the skip nav links don’t show. But in Opera, the 3 links show up centred at the top of the page just above where it says Olympia.

Zero,
You’re going to have to help me out a bit, sorry. I’m not seeing what you’re seeing. In IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari, everything is showing virtually identical to me?

Re: Laurel's Long Walk
Would you be willing to show me a screenshot of what you’re talking about? That’d be helpful :)

Re: Laurel's Long Walk
Zero! ahhh, now I get it :) I’ve left that in there by default, but its the one that simply comes with Textpattern by default. Its an accessibility thing. Not sure it really applies with a site with so little content. Interesting to note it doesn’t do what it ought to in Opera (ie: its hidden in the other browsers using a Phark Method of text-indent: -99999px;)
Thx for the heads up.

Re: Laurel's Long Walk
I should have said accessibility from the start, but thought skip links was a commonly understood term. Won’t do any harm to leave them in, imho, even if it only helps perhaps one visitor.
