Article list with images or?

Can someone please tell me which is the easiest way to do this;

I have a members list page with their addresses and details in the left column and their company logo in the right column.
I must have a paging option because there are more then 20 members (for example 5 members per page).

Is the best way to put each member in separate article and then to associate their logo as an article image or to use some of the image plugins and put the addresses as captions, or to put all members in one article and to use plugin for separating article in pages…?

Please help me out, I need to find the simplest way for client to update this content.

Thanks!

Re: Article list with images or?

I’d go for one article per member.

Name: title
Address and details: body (maybe also excerpt if there is much)
Logo: article image

You could style that easily wrapping the title/body/excerpt and the article image in their own divs in the article form. All your client would have to do is
  • upload the image
  • put everything in the right fields in the write screen

If you use images and captions, captions don’t use textile and for instance even line breaks should be html coded. Not so simple for your client. Also, it wouldn’t be searchable.

If you’d use just one article for all, you’d have to instruct your client exactly how to insert the logo images, and your intended layout would be much harder to achieve. Also if you’d want a search for members to be possible, one article wouldn’t do that much good (the same article would turn up for every search query).
