are podcast plugins necessary?
can someone please explain to me what the advantage to using podcast plugins is? i pretty much had no luck working with an7 and jmh and i’m wondering if i can just use any flash mp3 player of my choice and embed that in my post, as well as the download link. then i’d use feedburner to propogate the feed. would i be missing out on something if i went this route?

Podcast plugins automate tasks. You do not have to use any of them to stream content.
