[request] CodePress - syntax highlighting in a textarea
This looks like it would be ideal for Textpattern: http://codepress.org/index.php
Is anyone working on a plugin for it? Looks like it might be fairly easy to integrate, but then I’m no expert. :)

We got EditArea working in the admin section, works pretty good.
I’ll need to check out CodePress and do a comparison, thanks for the heads up.

I like the way codePress highlights code better than edit area (which is a bit overreaching…) but I like EditArea’s toolbars search replace, go to line, etc WAY better.

I cleaning up the editarea plugin so it’s easier to customize. Hopefuly in the next day or so if my laptop doesn’t decide to die in between. I like codepress though. I’m going to see if I can create an integration for it too.

Hello,
I installed CodePress, using bot_wtc, for the body textarea.
I want to add syntax highlighting for “textile”. And why not, reach a plug’in.
1 – To me, Regex is Chinese.
2 – implement a button “toggleEditor”
3 – The tabs “html” and “Preview” not working (reloading the page, clears the CodePress code .
If a developer finds the idea interesting, I’d be delighted.
Another idea that I see on Textpattern :
Redmine provides a “live preview” for textile.
