Category list with nested article lists

Hi. Help!
I still can’t figure out how to do this.
I have categories listed with cbs_category_list in my sidebar. Cats could contain just one article, or many. If many, I would like the article titles to appear as a linked nested list under the relevant category in the sidebar, rather than in the main content area as I have now.

If there is just one article in a category then no need for the nested list to appear.

Oh and when you land in the ‘front page’ of a section, I just need the categories list only displayed in the sidebar…I only want the nested article list to appear when you click on a category…and then ofcourse only if there is more than one article in that cat.

How would you acheive this? (to get a static 3 level nav from Section > Category > Article). I don’t think I can do it with cbs_….so what method would you use?!!!!

(I have tried a few methods (rss_suparchive, stw_category etc)…can’t get it.)

Thanks if you can help. I know some have tried to point me in the right direction before now…this site keeps getting put waaay back on the back burner and consequently I never really progress along with it, nor do my txp skills…but I’ve got to sort it now!

At least some of your requirements can be met with adi_cat_menu
