Image Size Error

Our textpattern site has been working flawlessly for ages. Until today.

We can’t seem to upload images. this is the returned error.

Warning: getimagesize() [function.getimagesize]: Read error! in /users/home/XXX/domains/XXX/public_html/textpattern/include/txp_image.php on line 584

Can anyone suggest what the problem might be?

Probably a permissions issue; perhaps your hosting company has changed security settings.

The message is a warning only; it shouldn’t stop the upload from working.

Then something else is wrong; the warning message is a symptom, not the cause.

Please post your diagnostics.
