Posting with Semagic client causes timezone error.
As I’m writing this, it’s 6:16 PM, EST. My desktop clock is set to this. I’ve set Textpattern to GMT -5:00, which is EST. And I’m using a desktop client, Semagic, with the MetaWeblog API to post to my blog. The date/time in Semagic is also 6:16 PM. But when I post using it, the article doesn’t appear on my Textpattern blog. Confused, I go to my Textpattern control panel> Content> Articles, and see that the entry does exist, but that the date and time of it is set to 8 hours from now, tomorrow at 2:16 AM.
I can edit the entry to the correct date and time, but if I have to do this for every article I post, it’s too much of a pain to use the client in the first place. And I really want to use this client. Can anyone help me figure out what’s causing this and how I can fix it?

Re: Posting with Semagic client causes timezone error.
Definitely a Semagic issue here. Two options:
1. Uncheck the “update time automatically” option in Semagic’s Date/Time bar and set the time yourself
2. Email the developers. There should be an option to set the timezone under Options->General (according to their help file), but I don’t see that option anywhere.
