Emergency Question
I am new to textpattern. I just installed it on my test website to see how it works. I looked through the admin control panel but still I cna’t figure out how to do what I am trying to do.
Look at the layout of my website http://img399.imageshack.us/img399/9092/maotemplate2copy3zg3.jpg
I want to have a new system on the main page where multiple admins can post news topics.
Alos, on the navigation on th right, I want a small calendar just like the one you see here http://www.guidetothecity.org/austin/home .
If possible, I aslo want to be able to have a mini poll on the right side of the layout.
Also, I want to create a gallary like this one but users being able to comment them http://www.durchgedreht24.de/galerie/
How would I do all these things?

Re: Emergency Question
Based on what I read and understood, Textpattern is not for me. Textpatter is more of a jornal based stuff. It just about posting up articles and stuff. My website is not based on this.

Re: Emergency Question
Actually, it’s a sophisticated and versatile micro-content CMS. Good luck funding something that fits your eeds.

Re: Emergency Question
But I am still trying to figure out how I can get that calendar system like the one found on this site http://www.guidetothecity.org/austin/ . Also, I just want another simple add on for my site which is a picture gallery with a commenting feature.

You have to help yourself just a little bit… You can do it… search is your friend…
That took me all of 1.5 minutes using (you guessed it) the Search feature.
Good luck

Re: Emergency Question
The last link you gave me, photoblog, is that for only textpattern? Can I use it with using textpattern?

Re: Emergency Question
You’ll notice…
- The site is called Textgarden
- There are about twenty references to Textpattern on the page
- If you examine the file from the download, it tells you explicitly how to install it
So yes, it’s for textpattern.
The answers to these questions you are asking are self-evident. You’re going to have to expend some effort yourself. Try stuff out, it’s really easy
