Link to next/pre article using article thumbnail
How do I:
Link to next and previous article using the articles image as link?
<txp:link_to_prev><txp:article_image></txp:link_to_prev>
Is what I tried but as you guess it will only display the image for the current article.

artcle image works in an article to article basis You could have for example, <txp:permlink><txp:article_image /></txp:permlink> but I’m not sure if it can recognise the next/previous tags

Nope, it can’t (not in the sense required here).
Plugin could do it, but I don’t know if one already exists.

Six years later, at least one such plugin exists, see the second example here. Too late, but if this can make less people (like the thread author) pass to WP…
Edit: I guess smd_horizon is another one.
